Fischer_S-Bound

The fish scale pattern of a Fischer S-Bound classic waxless backcrountry cross-country ski. This pattern is more aggressive than typical waxless fish scale patterns. The hole in the center of the ski is an attachment point for “skins,” which provide extra grip (particularly over icy snow). Also note that the lighting has been maximized to show texture rather than color. © Jared ManninenClose-up of the fish scale pattern of a Fischer S-Bound classic waxless backcountry cross-country ski. Notice that the materials between the pattern and the base are completely different. The previous picture was not clear due to the lighting. Also, this pattern is uniform throughout the grip zone. © Jared ManninenAlthough these are technically Fischer Excursion 88s, they feature the same type of setup as the S-Bounds for the EZ Skins. The ski on the right has the skin incorprated into the grip zone. © Jared Manninen
